Founder of ArmPhil

Armwrestling Philippines (ArmPhil) was conceived over 12 years ago by Simon Javier Calasanz and Mark Luis Ben to unify a fragmented local scene.

Simon – bringing corporate governance experience from his career in banking and finance (including serving as Country Head of Mastercard Philippines) – established a transparent, non-profit, athlete-first blueprint. Anchored by Mark’s unparalleled athletic legacy as the country’s long-standing Rank 1 puller, the organization successfully decentralized the sport, secured heavy media traction, and catalyzed the growth of over 60 regional teams across the archipelago.
